The 22TY® Forced Reset Trigger
The Freedom Fingers 22TY replaces your factory disconnector and allows the trigger to reset upon the cycling of the slide — quick successive pulls, one round per trigger function. CNC machined from 316 stainless steel for performance and longevity. If the forced reset ever fails, the pistol remains fully functional in standard semi-auto — no bricked gun, no range day over.
The Installation Block
Purpose-built by Freedom Fingers for the 22TY install. It holds components in the correct position during installation, removes the guesswork, and makes a clean first install far more likely — especially if this is your first time inside the TX22 trigger group.
The Striker Channel Housings — Why They're a Must-Have
The TX22 ships with a plastic striker housing inside the slide. It's fine for standard shooting. It is not built for a forced reset trigger. The heat and high-rate cycling of an FRT soften and deform that factory plastic, which leads to inconsistent striker travel, misfires, and unnecessary abuse on your slide that wears it out.
This left/right striker channel housing set replaces the factory part and is built to handle FRT use. Install them with your 22TY and your TX22 lasts longer, runs more consistently, and doesn't pay the price for the fun.
Maintenance tip: With prolonged, high-rate FRT use, striker housings are a wear item. Inspect them during regular cleaning and replace as needed.
Suppressor & Ammo Notes
Test unsuppressed first. The 22TY can be picky with suppressors and ammo due to increased back pressure. Establish a reliable baseline with unsuppressed fire and your preferred ammo before adding a can.
