AS Designs MP5 Slip Trip V5 | 7075-T6 | Super Safety & ARC-Fire
The MP5 Slip Trip V5 is the upper-side interface that makes active reset possible on the MP5 platform — the part that rides your bolt group and drives the Super Safety or ARC-Fire below. If you're building an MP5 reset setup on an ARMP5 or Leber V2 spec lower, this is the current-generation trip to run.
What It Is
To run a Super Safety or ARC-Fire in an MP5 (SP5, AP5, ZF5, PTR, and other clones), you need a lower that takes AR fire control parts — like the AS Designs ARMP5 complete lowers we carry — plus this Slip Trip in the upper. The reset system does not work with stock MP5 lowers. Our complete MP5 kits already include a Slip Trip V5; this standalone is for scratch builders, second hosts, and spares.
V5 Highlights
- Latest s3igu2 design — reduced weight, plus added compatibility with oversized denial blocks over V4
- 7075-T6 aluminum, hardcoat anodized black — only ~2 grams heavier than nylon trips and roughly half the weight of steel variants, reducing wear on your lever, upper, and bolt
- V5 replaced V4 — no need to upgrade from a working V4
